Hi all,

We have just brought a Coronet 31 Aft. We think it was built in 1977 bit hoping to find out more about it over the coming weeks. It is a beautiful, well built boat which will be kept on the River Trent in England but we are hoping to have some coastal adventures and perhaps in the future take her down to the Mediterranean via the French canals.

Looks like a well kept boat. Guess the river is relaxing, but no place for planing speed, so I hope your plans for some coastal rides will come true.

Thanks Mat and yes I hope so too. I have done lots of sailing in the North Sea and English Channel but never in a motor boat.

Out of interest, can anyone tell me what wood my bathing platform is likely to be made of, I believe it is original?

If not painted or varnished in any way, it should be teak.
If it is , then maybe mahogany.
