Can anyone recognice this boat?

Hi,

I bought this boat project which had been laying in an old gas station for past 20 years. It is written Coronet 19 DC in the registeration papers. As far as i know, Coronet did not make such model at 60's.. It is written that the year of build is -62, lenght 5,5m width 2,05m. The year sounds quite early cause it's a full glassfiber hull.. It is a deep V and the hull number is 2238 (on an aluminium plate fixed inner side of transom). The motor and the sterndrive are Mercruiser, it has also the old Kiekhaefer gauges and a gear switch. At least the engine (Mercruiser 200) is not original cause they have had to modify the space a bit to make it fit. The Coronet sticker at the rear side is not original. It is put there by some previous us owner after painting the hull.

I'd appreciate a lot if somebody could recognice this boat or had any information related to it. Thank you,

This boat has not been built by Coronet but was indeed sold as a Coronet during the mid 1960s, under the name "Coronet Wynn-Mill". The club has a few photographs from boat shows in Germany and France showing the boat together with other Coronets. You have a historically interesting boat. Take care of it and become a member of the club!

Now i'm a member also!
Thank you very much for the info. It is great to hear about the origins of the boat. I will be spending a lot of time with it in the future.. The goal is to renovate it to be as close to original as possible. At the moment there is, for example, no interior at all, so there is quite much research to do, parts to look for and all the info to help of couse very welcome. If somebody knows something about these Wyn-mills, please share. I can start my self: It sounds like the boat has something to do with Jim Wynne..? I have now learned this hull designer and the original stern drive patent holder made some wooden prototypes he called Wyn-mills at early 60s..
Wyn-mill II won a lot of races and was the precessor of the famous Donzi Sweet 16 boats. Ole Botved knew Wynne probably from the racing and they ended up driving a cross the Atlantic ocean together with the Coronet Explorer and Wynne was also a part of the team designing the first glassfiber hull Coronets..

Welcome in the club! Yes, the boat is most certainly designed by Jim Wynne and I suspect it was built in the US, probably in Florida. Presumably Coronet or some Coronet dealers imported the boat and sold it as Coronet Wynn-Mill or Coronet WynneMill; it was displayed as such in Hamburg 1963, Paris 1965 and Friederichshafen 1966. We have five photographs in the digital archive (type Mill in Keywords and search) but no other information.
