Has anybody ever found out the brand and specification for the varnish used in the production of Coronet models in the early 70's or the designated colour, a light green, for the decks.
"Tardis" (Family 24 originally purchased in Menton, France) has made it to Perth, Western Australia and after months of frustrating setbacks and other delays we have at least working motors. Now we need to freshen up some areas of woodwork and perhaps repaint the decks

His, I recommend iIf it's possible, try to polish the deck. The gelcoat is quite thick so you can polish it quite well and it's easy to patch with new gelcoat on damaged areas. Repainting on gelcoat looks good for a couple of years then it's nearly impossible to salvage.
