I'd like to buy a boat, and my favorite is a Coronet 18. My wife and two daughters aren't so happy with it, as it doesn't have a nice bench or sunbathing area in the stern. I'm very handy and creative, and I'm wondering if I can retrofit a sunbathing area and/or bench. However, since I don't want to change the original, I have to find a removable solution. I already have a basic idea. Has anyone done something like this before? Where would reasonable attachments be possible? Another question is, was there a hardtop-like roof solution for this boat? I don't want to ruin the beautiful, sporty look with a terrible bimini. Other boats from that era sometimes had coupe-like roof solutions.
