Hello Dennis. Look for Volvo Penta AQAD 40 with turbo and intercooler, gives you 165 HP. Another engine you can look for are the modified and newer model Volvo Penta AQ 41 or AQD 41 , will give you 200 HP. Both engines are basicly similar to each other and fits easyly in 32 OF`s engineroom. No problem with floor or the space at all. Many Coronetboats are fitted with these engines. A Coronet 32 are running great with both types. 2 x 165 HP diesels will give you a topspeed of 28 - 30 nautic miles pr. hour. 2 x 200 HP diesels will give you a topspeed about 32 - 34 nautic miles pr. hour. ( depending of propellers and gearratio). Don´t worry for bying wellkept engines with 1000 - 1500 hours. Try to find engines complete with instruments, cables and z-drive (VP 280 or 290). Otherwise you have to change the lower part and propellers of your eksisting drives to a gearratio for diesels because they are running with normal max 3600- 3800 rpm. You can find blueprints with details over dimensions and others in the homepage from Volvo Penta. Search under : older engines. And by the way! remember to check your fueltanks if they are made of galvanized steel. Lifetime are very often about 20-30 year before they suddenly starts leaking a few drops because they are damaged and ready for scrap caused by corrosion in many spots inside the bottom. New made of stainless steel are the best solution, will cost you some money, but it´s a good investment. Good luck Dennis. Finn 1786. (OF 32).

thank you for your advice now i now what to search for so i can astimate the cost.
by the way while browsing through this site i found out that my boat isn't a 32 oceanfarer but a 30 oceanfarer, I met a other owner of a 32 this weekend and saw a few diferencens but i thought it was becousse of the modeljear was diferent but we could not figure out why he had so mutch more space in his backside, on the registrationpapers of my boat it says that it's a 1980 32 oceanfarer an on the enginepapers and engine identifcationplates also says 1980 but after studdiing al the diferences it can only be a 30
whil this make any diference for the engines?

Hello again Dennis. Coronet 30 OF was produced in the years 1965 - 1968 and then the 32 OF was introduced with a 2 feet longer open cockpit. Only by making the hull 2 feet longer gave the yard now the customers a boat with a large open space in the cockpit and almost perfect dimensions between the size of the hull and the accomodation. Inside your engineroom on the backside between the 2 z-drives and about 40-50 cm. under the supporter for the deck, i guess you can find an identificationnumber. If the first 2 letters are f.ek. 32, your boat is a real 32. But if they are 30, you got a 30 OF and your papers are not the right for the boat. Friday i will give you the length of the 32 OF engineroom in the level of the deck so you can compare with the space in your boat Best regards, Finn 1786.
