Coronet Elvstrom 38 Rudder King question

who does know how the rudder king of a Coronet Elvstrom 38 is sealed?
from my point of view i believe that the through hull pipe is ending below the waterline.

i removed my rudder king and expected to find some rubber rings around the axel but found none.
i do see two notches around the axel, but they are empty.
the axel itself is covered with just a littlebit of grease.

wondering how this could be waterthight ...?, i do not have any leakage around the through hull pipe.

It's a good question, I have searched in the archives, and there are some drawings, although not a full exploded view. If you type into search field rudder, and tick drawing and model Elvstrom 38, you will see the available drawings. Be warned, the first drawing is of a 3/4 ton project which I am not sure was ever build. But construction could be the same. I am not near my boat for the moment, so can't check the drawings agains actual, but hope this will help some part of the way..
