Has anyone got experience in both 21dc and 24 weekender?
Which one has better sea going capabilities?
I would imagine that the 2000kg mass helps the 24W, but is there more to it than just size and weight?

When You say "sea going capabilities" You have to define what You mean. Considering both have a very open lay-out with small -none really- possibility to evacuate large amount of water entering the boat, both are not suitable for "sea-going". The smaller boat, dc21, has less windresistance due to the lesser projection, but, on the other hand has lower gunwale. The cockpit is in relation to the hull large in both boats and this is a case for concern when "sea going" capabilities is discussed. If the sea is short and rough a higher gunwale is important, thus the 24 Weekender would be a better choice. I am not certain what a CE-classification would be, but I would not believe any of them could reach high ratings. By the way, I have 24 W and had previously a boat very similar to the 21 dc.

When I say "Sea going capabilities" I meant more in the lines of sjöegenskaper. Just could not come up with the right wording in English it seems :)
So basically Im not asking which of the two can take a beating from a bigger storm, but more in the lines of which of them is the smoother boat in "normal" day cruiser weather in the archipelago, if that makes any sense.

OK, see what You mean. I´d say the 24 is a better boat, the longer water-line (=hull) gives the boat a better "ride" than a shorter hull. Especially in the waters I am sailing in, eg the Archipelago where there the sea itself is of less importance perhaps than the fact that ther is a lot of swell from other boats and, the sea in the "smaller" (Kanholmen, Nämdöfjärden, Mysingen) bays in the Archipelago is often very short and steep. A longer hull is far better in this respect than is the 21. With no waves ther is no problem with the 21 dc.
